Greg Browning, PhD

Dr. Greg Browning joined Labcorp in 2012 as a Technical Supervisor for Special Chemistry in the Dallas laboratory. Prior to joining the company, he held positions in both basic research and quality control in the pharmaceutical industry.

Greg was promoted to Associate Technical Director in 2017, shortly after receiving his board certification in Clinical Chemistry from NRCC. In 2019, he left Dallas to become the Technical Director of the Denver laboratory, and currently oversees both the Denver and Dallas labs.

Greg earned his BS in Chemistry and PhD in Organic Chemistry degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington, with research focused on transition metal-mediated organic synthesis. Following graduate school, he held a postdoctoral research fellowship at Dartmouth College prior to beginning his career in industry.

Over the course of his tenure with Labcorp, Greg has also served as the Laboratory Director for multiple satellite labs. He also serves the company as Discipline Director for both Routine Chemistry and Quality Control.

Outside of Labcorp, Greg is a member of the Association for Diagnostic Laboratory Medicine and serves as a lead inspector for the College of American Pathologists. When not at work, he can usually be found in the Rocky Mountains, either rock climbing or backpacking.
